So Mum was being very aggressive to one of the kittens, i removed it from mum and I'm raising him on my own. The kitten was losing weight while still with mum but have gained weight since. He's feeding okish, about 1-2 ml every 2 hours but today he didn't want milk at some of feedings. Since last night I've noticed his bum looks very raw and is very smelly. I washed his bum under hot water and he pooped a lot. He's been pooping once every day. But the bum looks very sore and may be infected because there's a strong fishy smell coming from his anus. I'll be calling vets tomorrow but how can i help him, i applied coconut oil but it didn't help at all...

Do let us know what the vet says. He likely has an infection and needs antibiotics, or has a fungal infection and needs anti-fungal meds like Nystatin. I hope it gets resolved soon!

Do you have access to pedialyte? Or glucose sugar / dextrose? If so, its easy to make your own pedialyte.

If not, you can try to make pedialyte from common sugar.

It will keep the kitten at least hydrated, and so he will get some glucose sugar inside - buying him some time.

You can also always smear a droplet of glucose sugar or white caro syrup on his gum, inside the lips.

He just pooped a lot of pus... and now he is almost lifeless. I rubbed some honey and he perked up a little and I gave him some pedialyte but he vomited that after 15 mins along with some milk that he had 3 hours ago . I'm shocked how did he get like this in 3 hours when he was crawling everywhere in his box just this morning.
I'm so mad at the vet that he didn't take it seriously and didn't give him antibiotics and took my money. Anyways kitten is on his heat mat all wrapped up with mummy on his side... I don't know what else can I do... it's like he is barely breaking thing anymore... his skin is blueish and his lips too

Hi. Kittens can become extremely critical in a matter of hours, even minutes. A vomiting neonate like this needs veterinary intervention if they are to survive. Still, even with veterinary care, they can die. Vomiting causes dehydration which can be fatal in all animals, especially kittens. If they are vomiting, often anything you try to offer by mouth will be vomited as well. Veterinarians can give injectable fluids to counteract the dehydration and meds to stop the vomiting. But you need to know why they are vomiting. They can have malformed internal organs, could have an intestinal blockage due to the dehydration, could be viral or parasites. But treatments are limited when so young. There isn’t much you can do at home when they get to this point and this can happen so fast.
I am very sorry.

Sorry, it seems his last hours are oncoming. Be sure he has a name, and pray.

If you wish to try with anything aside of making it comfortable, pray, etc,
so give him pedialyte. Bougth or homemade.
As he is puking; the trick to try with is just a little at a time, but quite often. so the stomach never realizes he got some and doesnt react with vomiting.

If verry lucky, this may even buy the time for recovery: As the pedialyte / glucose sugar doesnt need to be digested, the glucose goes almost straight into the blood, already from the mouth. Common sugar needs some digestation, but its a very short basic digestation, so it shall work too.
At worst, you arent filling his intestines with kmr which no longer can be digested in a dying kitten....
