Cleaning up pee on washable items

Hey!
It appears that Coal peed in his soft carrier the last time we brought him to the vet, AND this morning I discovered that he has used the top of the cat tree as a bathroom at some point in the last week (I suspect that it is because the litter pan was forgotten too long...owning my bad cat mom status for this one). Both pees are dry, and on small items that can be thrown in the washing machine. Would you still use an enzym

I’d use an enzyme cleaner to get the smell out before laundering, personally. Think of it as using stain remover before washing lol. Ime standard detergents aren’t enough to get rid of the smell of urine so that cats can’t smell it.
