Does using laundry detergent with citrus extract have the potential to harm cats? Apparently orange EOs and other citrus fruits can cause liver damage in cats. The detergent I use is very, very lightly scented, to the point where I can't tell there was any scent at all on the clothes after they've dried. We've used it for about 6 months now and I haven't noticed anyone having weird symptoms.

Maybe use a non scented detergent for blankets and other things that they lie on, and if they like being on your bed just put down a cover that's been washed seperately.

My current cats hate anything citrus and react by running away, so I always avoid that scent.
