I have 2 cats, and they have begun to chew on my mother's oxygen tubing. I read a thread about a member that sewed some fabric to cover her tubing and it worked for her. I am hoping to find this member so that hopefully she could sew something for my mom's 25 ft tubing. I cant get them to quit chewing on the tubing, and I'm hoping she could help.

Something that would be immediate, easy, and require no sewing would be Velcro. Here’s an example using the tubing on my nebulizer machine. The Velcro I have on hand is 3/4 inch and not quite wide enough to stay put, but you get the idea.

Actually... if you have an old t-shirt or pillowcase, you could cut it into strips the appropriate width, wrap the tubing, and tape it in place.

That occurred to me at 3 a.m. after Lily woke me for snuggles, and I couldn’t get back to sleep.

I bought some bitter apple spray and wiped it the length of the tubing. The kitten drops the tubing once he tastes the spray; he still likes to chase after it, though.
