After losing Snickers to FIP when he was only 7 years old, I just want to tell everybody to hug their kitties today.
One never knows when a sneaky disease like FIP will attack your cat. It is heartbreaking, so say the least.

It is beyond heartbreaking. FIP is a filthy, disgusting disease that takes cats in their prime, and often before they even have a chance to really live. I hear some strides are being made in treatment, but they aren't here yet. My heart goes out to you.

Yes, it is. I was totally blindsided by the news. I understood that FIP became apparent in cats under 2 and
sometimes over 11. My Snickers was only 7. I can can't believe he is gone.

Thank you for your gentle reminder to hug our kitties today. We also lost a cat to this insidious disease when he was barely 3 years old. He was so precious and full of life but FIP took him from us.
