Wasn't sure if this belonged in nutrition or behaviour...
I realized that wet food for me is more expensive by itself so I had to come up with a solution. I decided to blend one 125g can of my cats wet food with half a cup of dry food. That way, it stretches. So, instead of feeding two cans a day, I'm technically only feeding one can and it usually last a day and a half or more when blended with the magic bullet. I also add water.
Anyway, my main problem is that my female cat will not eat the glop as I call it. She has starved herself so I had to open up a whole other can just for her. She will eat the wet food on its own and the dry food on its own but when I blend it together, all of a sudden it is nasty. My male cat eats it perfectly fine and actually enjoys it.
What is going on?
Female cat has no teeth by the way and can't really eat the dry food without chocking. She also can't eat the wet food with large meat chunks which is also why I blend it.
