Cat Scratch

Hey, a stray cat scratched me on my feet. It bled a little so I washed it with water and soap and put some Neosporin on it. It stopped bleeding eventually. It doesn't hurt or anything but I'm kinda worried that I might catch some nasty viruses. The thing I'm most worried about is rabies. I know I can't get rabies by a scratch but I wouldn't know if the cat licked his paws. Should I go see a doctor or leave it be?

If your the type to worry about getting hit by meteors I'm sure I could come up with some whacky but theoretically possible scenarios. Real world? The Neosporin should cover you, but infection is a real world (if unlikely) possibility so keep an eye on it.

Cat scratches aren't as worrisome as cat bites, but scratches can also become infected. Since it's your foot, and some people have trouble healing foot wounds, if it would reassure you, maybe call your doctor's office and get their opinion.
