Cat poops on the couch. I have tried EVERYTHING.

I have this problem as well. My tabby is 6-7 years old. I was off work for 2 years for a knee surgery.. Now I am getting back to work and the last 3 shifts I came home and she pooped on my couch while I was at work. Apparently she is angry because I am not there like I was. This has to stop. I do not know what to do.
