Cat only eats shred?

I've been wondering why my cat wouldn't eat wet food for the longest time until I gave it shreds and it's actually eating it, is this a normal thing? I've read siamese cats are picky eaters never has she been with dry food. I just find this odd behavior but I guess some are just picky texture eaters?

Based on what I have seen/read on this site, many cats prefer certain textures, so I am not sure it is an issue overall. I have a cat that refuses to eat any wet food that is NOT pate.

I have a cat that loves pate but not sredds and another that doesn't like pate and loves shreds and another that likes pate with pieces of meat,not shreds ot pate.

And on the flip side, I have one who won't touch pate with a 10 foot pole.

She also doesn't like any cat foods that look like real meat

My cats all dislike pate, they prefer anything but that with liquid is best. I can sometimes get them to eat pate if I mush it with water until it's lickable.

Mine eat Pate mostly but they also enjoy shreds and filet varieties as well,sometimes I mix them to really make it interrupted for them.

Cats definitely have texture preferences. Mine prefers pate over shreds. whenever I add some tiki cat into his rotation he is a lot less enthused to eat it.
