Has anyone ever tried Cat Laxative Constipation Relief from BestLife4Pets website? It's supposed to be a homeopathic remedy, all plant based. I'd like to try it on my cat Molly who has CKD and is very constipated and hasn't had a BM in about 4 days. Getting really worried about her. She's at the point where she's not eating too much, urinates quite a bit, but doesn't poop. Asked the vet and she's OK with trying this laxative. Would like to know if anyone has had any luck with it.

Hi there, I've not tried it. But one of my boys is having a problem too. My vet told me me I could try coconut oil, mineral oil,or olive oil to help. Hope that helps . I'm a newbie here Nice to meet you .

If she hasn't had a bowel movement in four days I'd get her straight up to the vet for an enema before doing anything else.

I have no suggestions unfortunately - the laxative my girl is on isn't suitable for cats with kidney disease.

Thanks for replying. Hope the oils help your boy. Nice to meet you; I'm new here, too. Looks like a great resource for info.

She's had 4 enemas already. They help for that day, but not afterwards. Have tried MiraLax, Benefiber, and other meds, all to no avail. Thought I'd try the natural route and see if it helps. Thank you for your response, however.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I wasn't thinking of enemas as a longer-term solution - I know they aren't that - but of the need to get the impacted feces out now.

Is Molly going to the litter and trying unsuccessfully to defecate?

I did a search on that particular product and didn't find anything here on this site. But since you have already tried those other things and didn't get satisfaction, I say, why not try it and keep your fingers crossed that it works.

She stands outside the litter box and strains, poor thing. I have an appt. with the vet next week. Hopefully, they'll have more answers for me. I did get the "natural laxative" pills today and she's gotten her first dose. Fingers crossed they will help.

Molly got her first dose of the natural laxative and, yes, my fingers and toes are crossed they'll work. Thank you.
