I have a seal point/siamese cat who is about 3 years old and has always been fairly skinny.
After combing for fleas, i noticed she is losing hair in certain areas. She is losing the hair around her gut and now it looks like there are patches coming off above her tail on her lower back.
This is the patch missing above her tail, which is more recent than the hair missing by her gut.
Here is a photo of her gut with the hair missing. It looks like its around the same area that was shaved when she was fixed.
It appears she has been licking this area, as her right nipple is starting to bleed.
What's even more concerning is that she has this green mark on the other side in the same area:
I'm not sure what that green area is, but it doesn't look like its normal.
I suspect she may have some sort of worm or something bothering her gut area, this is why she possibly has been licking it so often to the point of baldness. And it may also explain why she is underweight. As for the green mark, I have no idea what it could be. However, I am unsure what type of worm this may be.
If someone has experienced something similar, please kindly share what it was and how you were able to fix it. I'd hate to go to the vet and spend tons of money on something if I can fix this with stuff from a pet store.
Thanks in advance.
