So Nim was adopted from the Humane Society when he was 18 months old. He was an emaciated stray before that, and is now a healthy 10 lbs, active, and spirited a year later. We just noticed that he is missing a few lower incisors. The vet says no worry, his canines are fine, but I'm wondering how that happens. He eats a combination of dry and wet food.

He could have had an accident when he was out on the streets. He's so lucky to have you!

I suppose he could have been in a fight. But how do you lose incisors in a fight??

Well, I guess I was more envisioning that something actually hit his lower jaw somehow when he had it open while meowing...I dunno. Could they have literally fallen out from such a poor diet at that time? I've never heard of that, but I'm no vet...
Sometimes the stories these guys could tell us, if they could only talk. :ruminating: :kitty:
