Hello so my cat had this freckle in her eye and I took her the vets to be told it’s nothing major to worry about. But now it seems to be getting bigger.
This is about 8-12 months difference.

is this worrying?

Yes, it is normal. It is called Iris Nevus. They can get bigger, and become more than one. I have had several cats develop these as they got older. They are benign and require no treatment. if it develops into something serious, which is rare, it would be a good idea to have your vet aware of it and monitor it. Make sure they know about it. But other than that just report any changes so treatment can begin.

My dear old Sid had this. When he was a kitten he developed a tiny freckle, that over the course of 18 years, took over his whole eye. I think the blue was mostly gone by year 14. He started out with two blue eyes and ended up with one blue and one brown. Never caused a problem at all.

Thiese eye freckles actually can turn cancerous, so if I were you I would at the very minimum send those two pictures to your Vet and have them take a peek at them to get their opinion and have them on file.
