Ok, I know nothing is cheap BUT I have 7 rescues to feed plus groceries plus gasoline etc…sound familiar? I’m retired, old and on a fixed income.
currently I feed tiny tiger wet with a variety of $30/bag kibble.

any suggestions for a good lower priced kibble?

Our rescue group works with the non-profit Neighborhood Cats TNR and this is their list of the best nutrition for the best value. Most of these can be found at several different stores and not just at the links provided.

Using purina grain free beyond with chicken currently but have used elsey protein, blue buffalo and royal canin but they just keep going up and up
I don’t want to give them too much just for the calories but try to avoid all those additives as well

It depends on where you're located for sure!
Iams has 7lb bags for $20
Purina Pro Plan 16lb bags for $40
On Purina's website you can order some coupons.

What I used to do was actually grab one of the $70 bags of something like Orijen /Arcana /Instinct. They don't need to eat as much of it. After 12 bags you get one free. I purchase at a place that does points as well. PetSmart does free delivery over $60 and they often have sales and extra points days if you're in Canada or US.
