What is with the ridiculousness at Chewy. Dr elsey clean protein is $46.99 for 6.6lb. The 2lb is $9.01, if I get 3 is $27.03. Im afraid if I ask chewy they might screw it up more. Thats just dumb pricing.
Ok. That is really stupid! But I agree, if you say something they will probably increase the 2lb price.

Just looked and it gets even weirder. Says the 2 lb bag was $16.29 on sale for $9.01. Then it says the 6 lb bag was also $16.29 but now is $46.99????

Never seen that before! Not sure if that is something they should be advertising 🤣 They also have a ton of items not on sale in the "today's deals" section. Although they seem to do that every year and put items in there and eventually there will be reduced prices or deals on them. Makes it really messy to search. But guessing it is a time saver for them.

They price match Amazon a lot so if, say, a seller on Amazon is trying to clear out inventory and the price goes low on Amazon, it will also go low on Chewy. Likewise, if an item suddenly spikes on Amazon, it will also spike on Chewy.

I wish I could get Ollie to eat Tiny Tiger or BFF. Would be much cheaper than Dr Elsey's dry and Stella and Chewy's. Ollie is so darn picky!

I think buying a bunch of lesser priced wet food off sets buying more expensive dry like Dr Elsey and even Tiki Cat wet food. Boone and Gracie eat Dr Elsey dry and Tiny Tiger, Tiki Cat pate, and Instinct all the time. Then I buy a different brand each month for variety.

I live in the Treasure Coast area of Florida. Two weeks ago a tin of Fancy Feast - the only thing my Main Coon kitty will eat - was all of 72 cents a tin. Today, the price escalated to $1.12 a tin! Do you know of any reason for a 1/3 price jump for it?

Take a look around on amazon, chewy, petsmart, petco, tractor supply, the big bad woof, and see if there are better prices.

Also, on amazon, look for the purina fancy feast store. A couple weeks ago they were cheaper than the other sellers.

For those of you who buy food at petsmart, there is a special to get a free $5 card with purchase of a $25 one. The $5 bonuses have been acting like normal gift cards even though the promo says they can only be used between certain dates. I added 2 $25's and 2 $5's onto the same order and it took all within one order. I used mine for cat litter, but can create a good deal on buying cat food, too! Since the $5 bonus cards are "supposed" to be used between certain dates, not sure if they will expire after that date. Although, even though it is before the date the promo says they can be used, they are working currently and working like regular gift cards.

Link for offer: Gift Cards | PetSmart
More details: Petsmart gift card: Buy $25 gc get $5 bonus gc
