Cat diagnosed with Lyme disease

My sister's cat has been diagnosed with Lyme disease. I see discussions about the symptoms and of humans with Lyme disease but not mention about cats with Lyme disease and what to do about it besides go to the vet.

Does anyone have a cat with Lyme disease that can inform about how they have treated for it?

I've never had a cat with Lyme disease although I've had it myself and it's no fun.  I'm bumping your post in hopes someone else who has actual hands on experience or knowledge can answer your question.

I've never had a cat that had it either. If you went to the vet for a diagnosis, what treatment did the vet recommend?

I'm interested to learn more as I've only heard of dogs and humans getting Lyme disease before. I know it's spreading throughout North America, and we have it in Ontario now too.
