Hi! Is the humidity high in your area, as opposed to your area having dry air? If dry you could try a humidifier. Is there a lot of pollen? Is it dusty and the air conditioner is helping to move the dust around more?

You might want to get a video of it and show it to your vet - there are a lot of things that could cause a recurrent cough, and your vet might be better able to determine what is going on :) :crossfingers:

Yeah I have to say my throat feels sore in the mornings because of the AC overnight.

@CatLover49 did you just recently start running the AC? It might be blowing around some dust in the duct work that will fizzle out in a few days, but the low humidity is probably not helping. We have a humidifier for our cat with chronic bronchitis (asthma) and it's a big, big help :wave3:

Yes just recently started running the AC.And the pollen here is bad some days.Snowball dont go outside.Hes total indoor cat.Always has been. But I guess when I open the door to go check mail or something; pollen can come right on in.Im not sure yet but Im hoping it was just a hairball; cause after he went to his.litter box last evening;I went n checked n it looked like maybe a hairball in it.Yuk

If you can't get a video, maybe look around you tube and see if you can find something similar. No one can diagnose or treat it here of course, but I know what it's like to be curious.
If the hair ball was very irritating to him, his throat might just be sore.

Regardless of the instructions change the filter in your a/c every month. You might want to do it after the first couple of weeks because as @1 bruce 1 said the machine cleaning out it's duct work.
