My friend thinks she got a savanah bengal mix. I said there's no way ?!?!, looks like a domestic tabby

Cat breed?

At best this is mostly tabby with some 3rd generation savanah. A grandparent maybe
No breeder in their right mind would let their Savannah breed with anything but a Savannah. The Breed needs to remain pure.
Brown (black) mackerel tabby DSH. I do not see any features that match the breed standards for either breed. The most obvious feature is the mackerel tabby pattern. The TICA breed standard for both Bengal and Savannah does not allow a mackerel pattern. Savannahs are spotted tabby patterns only. Bengals may have spotted or marbled tabby patterns.
The body type, head shape, ear shape & size also do not fit either standard.
Was your friend told she was getting a Bengal/Savannah cat? If so, the person who said that probably thought it would make the cat more special. (Not true. All cats are special). If she did her own internet research that is not a good way to go. Anyone can post a picture on the internet and label it without actually knowing the background.
I hope she loves her cat no matter what he is.

To clarify this, "tabby" isn't a breed. It's a coat pattern.
The term is domestic, in this case, short hair
