Can somebody recommend an elevated water bowl for my cat?

I have a ceramic one that I bought from Amazon, but it gets very scaly from the minerals in the water. I'm thinking that I might need a stainless steel bowl or some other type of material that will not collect minerals.

All bowls will collect mineral scale from water. If you want to stop the scale buildup, use bottled water and keep the bowl topped off to reduce evaporation.

I have a few glass bowls, and a stainless steel one as well and unfortunately the stainless steel one does collect minerals. While the fountains I have do collect minerals, I don't think they collect them as badly as the water is continuously moving so that might be an option to consider. They can be more difficult to clean in general though.

I use spring water which is the same water that I used to make coffee in my home... I also have a fountain.. ceramic.. and use the same water there. I figured out that I guess I have to periodically soak the bowl in vinegar and water to scale it.

Yes I have a fountain as well but I like to keep water on each level of my home.. which is 3.

How about trying bottled water, and/or water from a purifying pitcher to see if that helps?

Unfortunately that's more about how mineralized your water is rather than the bowl. Also biofilm will build in all bowls.

I found an easy way was to dump the water every few days and wipe with a paper towel before washing it.
