Yes, I've both read and followed the instructions in Anne's guide to posting pictures, BUT.....this error message pops up:

The following error occurred:
The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension.

This is a pic which is saved in my PC. This is the file title:
TRUMP 19.jpg
(that's verbatum from the file's "Properties" window, btw)

Why isn't it being accepted?

Because it's called Trump? :dunno: Sorry, couldn't resist.

I don't have an answer for this one.

I've just found a trump19.jpg on the Web and saved it. I wonder whether yours isn't uploading because it's TRUMP 19, not Trump19 or trump19? Perhaps you could rename the image and try again?

I really have no idea.

Can you rename it and get rid of the space between trump and 19. I think that's why you are getting the error. It thinks the file extension is 19.jpg.

That's why I suggested renaming it. I've had to do that at times when uploading to other sites, simply because of a hyphen or some such trifle.

:cringe: I didn't see that you mentioned the space. I was proud of myself too for noticing the space in the name. :flail:

white shadow white shadow Did you try renaming it as suggested?

Oh, well, scratch that theory. I changed the name of the above photo to TRUMP 19.jpg, and was able to upload it!

The space won't make any difference. I need a copy of the file you're trying to upload to test it. Can you OM it to me, or otherwise email it to me at [email protected]? I can't tell from the above if the images posted are the actual image you're having issues with. Send me your original.

Changing this thread from "resolved" to "Being Reviewed" since OP hasn't yet communicated that the issue is in fact resolved.

OK..........I've solved the problem.

I had copied an image from a news site and saved it via MS Paint to a file on my PC.......

Paint saves images as bmp files.....bmp files are not acceptable to the new forum software (they were on the old "platform".

I re-saved (replaced) the original bmp file as a jpg image and that solved the non-acceptance issue.

Thanks to all who offered assistance.

Resolved !
