Calming treats for BOTH cats?

As I previously posted, we have an adult female who’s is generally pretty docile but for whatever reason she corners my adult male who is generally pretty irritable and the hiss-fest and growling and stare-down ensues. No physical fighting other than a bat or two. Should both cats get calming treats or just the instigator or just her target? Tried Feliway diffuser with into effect whatsoever.

Try both. On both cats. And bear in mind, "heated discussions" happen occasionally with even VERY bonded cats. Even though yours "argue" frequently, they do benefit from the presence of another cat. So long as no one is running and hiding, all is, essentially, well.
