Thank you, mani mani ! I'm very pleased with it. Be even more so once it stretches; it's a little too snug as yet. The yarn is good - King Cole Big Value DK (the brick colour) and Stylecraft Life DK (the grey). They feel qute like wool, but not as scratchy. They're not as soft as Fiddlesticks (King Cole's yarn never is, ime) but I expect they'll soften a bit with washing. I was able to wear it over bare arms this morning, which is definitely not something I can do with wool!
I know what you mean about wool, but I'm still a natural fibre pedant! Trouble is the soft ones are usually the very expensive ones.....

Yes, natural fibres are horrendously expensive.
If you ever feel like trying good-quality acrylic, I recommend Fiddlesticks Superb 8. It's very soft, low-pilling, big colour range, good meterage (250 metres a ball) and some places sell it for as little as $4.50 a ball!

Oh I love it...especially the scratch effect of the paw on front. Didnt you make one before or is this the finished object? That kity is in love with your yarn! Look at those cheeks too! My 2 yr old doesnt bat the ball my 1 year old plays hockey with anything round. But the 2 yr old is sneaky and in stealth mode just chews the strand off the ball and leaves me with short strands.
Please ,let's keep this thread going!

Thank you! Yes, I've made this before, in charcoal with a white paw (Daisy's colours). I've also posted a few pics of this one in progress.

Daisy's had a few occasions where she's wound yarn all around the room, so mostly I keep it well out of her way!

I'm pleased to hear it.
But I'm wondering how you're feeling, wearing a very warm jumper in 22C ?
🥵

Sorry, mani mani , I didn't see your post till now!
I didn't keep the jumper on all day - only wore it to show my neighbour in the morning and take some pics, then briefly in the evening.
I know.. just being silly. You certainly won't be wearing it at the moment! Is it 36C max where you are?

Oh wow! It's excellent!.. not sure it gets the pussycat stamp of approval though. Phoebe looks less than impressed.
She looks like she's saying 'Get this human paraphernalia off me!'

We need a 'whole outfit photo'.....

I caught her just as she was yawning, which produced that strange expression!

It'll be a long while before I wear the whole outfit, stupid summer weather!

If you were up here you'd call it more than stupid.
Oh hang on, I think I remember you already have.
You remember accurately!
Good thing I didn't join TCS till I'd returned to Victoria, I'd have been whining nonstop about the weather instead of just most of summer. :fireblob:

More knitting news: Wednesday I saw the most gorgeous jumper in progress, being made by a young woman who's just joined the group. (Still at uni and she's teaching her mum to knit, which is an indication of how good her work is.) I asked what the pattern was, and it's on Ravelry ... so of course I bought it. Now I'm just waiting for the yarn to arrive.
