Been on a crochet frenzy recently! I made 3 medium sized elephants. So many projects! I want to make a cardigan, scarfs, blankets, tops…the list goes on! So many ideas and not enough time. The struggle is real 🤪

Found this easy free pattern this week. Thought cat lovers would appreciate a scarf with paw prints.
I also found some notes on how to easily make staggered paw prints. Ask if you'd like me to post them..very easy.
This is for laceweight, but it works for any yarn weight, Worsted would take sice US 10 or 10 1/2 needles

Kid Merino Lace Scarf - cat's paw pattern - free knit lace scarf pattern - Crystal Palace Yarns
Thank you! I am always looking for easy patterns. I have saved it in my folder of things I hope to get to some day.

Finished the paw on the Phoebekins jumper yesterday. Quite a job - the paw alone took three days. It's intarsia, not stranded, but there are lots of strands going at once. I'm glad it's done, and pleasantly surprised that the body colour (brick) and toe bean colour (puce) work quite well together.

Phoebe hasn't signed off on it yet, but Daisy didn't mind posing with it last night. Don't believe the body colour, the photo makes it look almost tomato colour.

I love that paw pattern. Is Intarsia more difficult than Fair Isle?
Sorry, I missed yor reply!
No, intarsia is much easier. It’s not stranded, so you don’t have to worry about the tension. When each bit of colour ends, you start a new piece of wool in the next colour. What it is is messy, because you have all those individual yarns to keep separated, and they can get tangled, because you need to wind the two colours where they change, so you don’t get gaps. It wasn’t too bad with this, because I didn’t need much yarn for the toe beans, so combing the yarns out after every row wasn’t hard.

Meet Mom Peaches(Tabby) and Lil Kiwi.(1 and 2 years old) They were adopted off the streets of Florida last year on Valentines Day from a shelter here in Massachusetts. I can't help think that they would not be alive today with all the disasters that happened this year in that area with weather and fires, etc. But It is soooo cooold here today and seeing everything covered in white outside and they are trying to get used to their first real cold weather in New England with the use of pet heat mats and a mild electric blanket on the bed to lay on.I have never posted a photo of these 2 before, but thought I would snap a few shots today. Here you see them attacking my WIP, a top down stash buster jumper using a Knitting Pure and Simple Pattern Women | Knitting Pure And Simple as a template.
I am presently knitting round and round on the first sleeve. In a few days I will be casting on another top down stash buster. (I really need to stop buying yarn!)
Anyway..gotta shoo these 2 off because the Tuxedo loves to knead the knitting!

Thank you, mani mani ! I'm very pleased with it. Be even more so once it stretches; it's a little too snug as yet. The yarn is good - King Cole Big Value DK (the brick colour) and Stylecraft Life DK (the grey). They feel qute like wool, but not as scratchy. They're not as soft as Fiddlesticks (King Cole's yarn never is, ime) but I expect they'll soften a bit with washing. I was able to wear it over bare arms this morning, which is definitely not something I can do with wool!
