Were all nuts you know.... a nice " bowl" of NUTSTrue!
I just posted something yesterday in our behavior Forums that I was very hesitant to post because it's such a horrible truth that happened - my dear friends cat slipped out of her house suddenly before she even got her leash on ,leapt the yard fence wearing her harness... in trying to get home hours later her harness was caught on the fence- struggling to get out of the harness to no avail - the poor darling cat choked to deathI hate to be a party pooper with my post, but early this summer when I was knitting, the small energetic cat got hold of the yarn strand and it tangled around her neck. The more she tried to get free the tighter it became. It was a scare that I had read about but doubted it would ever happen to me.
My other cat likes to sit at my feet and once she sneekily chewed the yarn and there I was with a short end after a while wondering how I could have used up the ball so fast.
I am learning that no matter how cute the history of cats and knitting, it is hazzardous to cats!
Not a party-pooper at all, yes, swallowing yarn is potentially fatal for cats - at best, when they swallow a fair length of it, you're looking at expensive surgery to get it out. That poor cat nearly being throttled is also a serious warning. I'm very glad my two don't chew it, but one can't be too careful.I hate to be a party pooper with my post, but early this summer when I was knitting, the small energetic cat got hold of the yarn strand and it tangled around her neck. It can be found on Ravelry as Cat Lady Sweater.
In searching for a cat motif sweater pattern I see that there are SO MANY factory made cat sweaters..and they remind me of those gaudy ugly Christmas sweaters too! LOL
I think this find is a bit less flamboyant than the factory made ones LOL.(and not Halloween-ish either).
A few months ago Catlover made a lovely one and I was so eager to knit a cat sweater after she showed her Finished Object!
Thanks for the inspiration, catlover, ....took me long enough, though, to get crackin' on something.
OH that is gorgeous! Wish my stranded knitting skills were up to doing a design like that.My newest pattern find.. I am waiting for my yarn order to arrive! I think I will like this project!

Oh no- I hope it passes quickly ,glad your feeling no(or minimal) symptoms though- like a cold?Well, I've got asymptomatic Covid, so it's whiling away the days knitting at home this week. At least help is at hand.

Thank you! Had a runny nose and was mildly queasy for a while yesterday (that could just be anxiety, because Mum's got it too). Feel fine today, no symptoms at all. Fingers crossed it stays that way!Oh no- I hope it passes quickly ,glad your feeling no(or minimal) symptoms though- like a cold?

Thanks - yes, I felt fine yesterday (Sunday) and this morning. Let the volunteer coordinator know I wouldn't be in today - turns out it was all drama there last week, there was a gastro outbreak! Rang the village manager to see if I can pick up my meals - he said fine, just sanitise my hands before I come in.Hope you are feeling better today. Covid is making the rounds all over once again, and people are careless in going out with it ,causing it to spread. Knit, sip your beverages and keep comfy. Mom too!
