I love the tech editor..ponders the knitted object ,touches the needle, then back to studying the pattern. 2 cute!

It's a nice one to do - easy, too, with all the cables going one way. Only things to note are that it needs big needles (8mm for super-bulky yarn) and the pattern calls for 160 stitches, which makes it enormous. I went for 140 after trying a couple of alternatives. It really needs the loose knit on big needles because otherwise the folding over with the cables gets very thick, and it's difficult to manage the stitches.Oooh, I like this one!!
Reminded me of this oldie..We can all identify, I am sure! I was cracking up at the spaghetti!View attachment 482060
This gave me a laugh!!
And incorporate your hair like that as well!Love it! Never seen that before.
Imagine being able to knit that fast and able to haul yourself back up a cliff by your feet!
Yes indeed! And incorporate your hair like that as well!
People used to do that with loved ones as a remembrance I once read..Yes indeed!
I used to be able to sew (embroider, sort of) with my hair. Nothing as impressive as this, though!
Yes, hair jewellery was a popular mourning token in the Victorian era. Some amazing pieces made then! There is still hair jewellery made now, but I haven't seen any that compares with the old ones.People used to do that with loved ones as a remembrance I once read..
I think she was! I had to tell her this project really doesn't need tensioning help - just the opposite, it has to be very loose.Second photo she looks like she's holding the suspect yarn for questioning!
If she's anything like Lila, she has a wonderful "I'll be the judge of that" expression when you tell her that her help isn't really needed.I think she was! I had to tell her this project really doesn't need tensioning help - just the opposite, it has to be very loose.
I feel ya! I don't normally have trouble with the tension, but with mosaic where there's more than one stitch slipped at a time, I have to be very careful. I've given up entirely on doing stranded knitting! A pity, there are so many lovely patterns, but however loosely I work it, it still buckles. If she's anything like Lila, she has a wonderful "I'll be the judge of that" expression when you tell her that her help isn't really needed.
It was such a glorious day when I learned how to keep the yarn loose. When I first started I was tightening every single stitch like it was going to jump off the needle and run away.
