Hi everyone. This is my first post on here, so I am not too sure about rules and protocols. I have a 4 month old male Abyssinian kitten. He has a light fawn fur / pink ears, with darker brown bands. About 1 month ago, I noticed a bump under his fur on his neck. I could only feel it under my fingers when I'd pet him. I could also see it if looked into his fur, but it looked like a normal under skin pimple. The bump was maybe the size of half a lentil. I didn't think much of it, but then suddenly the bump turned into an ulcer/sore, with dry blood on it (sort of like a scab on a minor wound). I waited for about a week or so. The sore sort of stayed the same way. I tried cleaning it, but it made the scab break with slight blood stain on his fur around the ulcer. I took him to the vet after about 7-10 days. The vet wasn't sure what it was, and gave me an antibiotic lotion to apply on it 2 times a day. The ulcer went away after a couple of days, but I think it was already healing even before using the lotion. We thought maybe he scratched himself.
2 days ago, after about a month from that incident, I noticed another bump on his skin, but this time on his face above one eye. What seemed to be just a small under-skin bump, turned into a red/brown (dry blood) scab within 24 hours. The vet saw him before this ulcer was formed, and noticed a few red pumps on his skin and said it might be allergies.
I have attached a picture showing the sore, together with 2 tiny red dots to the left of the sore.
I've been looking for information about this but there is not much out there. He's been receiving all the vaccines and deworming/parasite meds and there are no signs of fleas. I think it's a bit strange that these bumps turn into blisters/ulcers so quickly (as if they form under the skin and then get to the surface and rupture). I don't see any discharge, because it just goes from nothing visible to a red sore within 1 day. They actually kind of remind me of my own cold sores a bit. I tend to get cold sores that turn into blisters and take 1 to 2 weeks to clear. This also made me wonder if it might be a viral infection. But the two spots he has gotten them so far (on his neck and on the face above one eye), are not where feline herpesvirus tends to affect. I've sent the pictures to the vet, but I don't think there is much available to diagnose what is going on. I haven't changed his diet, so I am not sure what he would be allergic to (other than regular cleaning chemicals that I sparingly use around the house).
The other odd but very fortunate thing is that he doesn't seem bothered with it at all, and it doesn't seem to be itchy. All my searches indicate that skin conditions like this are typically accompanied by itchiness, but that does not seem to be the case here. Does what I describe perhaps sound like just regular acnes?
I'm new to the cat world, so I thought one of you experienced cat owners might have come across something like this before. I got him when he was 2 months old, so I've only had him for 2 months.

Second, I'm sorry that your vet was not more helpful and could not give you a diagnosis. My initial thought was that it could be a histiocytoma but since we are not vets and, therefore, cannot give medical advice you may want to consider consulting a feline only specialist or as mentioned above a veterinary dermatologist. Since this has occurred twice I would recommend getting a second opinion.
