Hi everyone, for those of you who brush your cat's teeth, how old was your cat when you started? How difficult was it, and how did you get the cat used to it?

My kitten is about 3 months old now. I'd like to get her acclimated to it if it's recommended as it is in dogs.

Thanks!

I started brushing Jelly's as soon as I got him. I do it once a week. Not sure how often you are suppose to do them though. He isn't thrilled with this but he tolerates it (he lets Mommy get away with a lot).

Thanks, tagsmom.

If you don't mind, how do you brush his teeth? Do you use one of those finger brushes? Lusa's mouth is teeny-tiny.

I started just lightly rubbing his teeth so he got used to my fingers being in there and then I bought a finger brush, for me it works better. I saw cat toothbrushes at PetSmart but they all seemed to big to me. Hope that helps!
