Has anyone used bovine lactoferrin in conjunction with l-lysine? If so, what has your experience been?

I've been using 500mg twice a day of l-lysine powder for my cat who is positive for calicivirus and herpes virus. I don't really see a change. I mean, right now I do because she was also diagnosed with mycoplasma felis bacteria causing chronic rhinitis and she's on azithromycin antibiotics for 30 days (which are a literal miracle and the only thing that has stopped her from being chronically congested and leaking from the nose). But, I had been giving the l-lysine for months before the she saw the specialist who diagnosed the mycoplasma.

She has two more doses of azithromycin left and I'm TERRIFIED that her nose problems are just going to come back when treatment ends. She's so comfortable and happy right now..

I've read peer-reviewed research that has positive things to say about bovine lactoferrin but I can't seem to find anyone on the Facebook cat groups I'm part of who have actually used it. Ideas?

I think the brand she used is right there in that thread - I remember she was always careful to detail that kind of thing.

Unfortunately the brand she names in that thread has been discontinued. I just purchased some Lactoferrin from amazon. The best I could find is “simbiotics” bovine Lactoferrin, 60 caps. Hopes that saves you the time it took me to go through the huuuugeee amount of pages on that thread, lol.
I got no feedback so far. I just stated the protocol 1 day ago, but my cats chain sneezing seems to be going away
