Actually, Buddy never has really "smacked" Gibsy. He hesitantly "pat pats" Gibsy (testing the waters so to speak).
As for reciprocation? It's much like lightning. No claws though.
They are both just playing but Gibs plays too rough. Close supervision is a must.

I thought that was just a picture earlier. Just saw it was a video and watched it.
Yep, that's several hours a day, every day here. Gibs has his own room. It's a sunroom that's closed off to other rooms with french doors (4 of them, glass panes top to bottom).
Buddy runs door to door pounding the glass, climbing the panes, rolling around at the foot of the doors. Gibs does the wallowing/rollining around thing too.....If Gibs move to another door, so does Buddy.
Both of them will get wound up and go door to door to door and back 100mph sometimes. This is how they play I guess.
