We have decided to try a blood transfusion with Coco and hope it helps.
The vet said she is so weak because of the anemia is worse.

Hopefully this is the miracle we've been praying for

Is she still at the Vets, or did you bring her home after the transfusion?

Thanks Everyone,
I can get her at 2.
Her number went from 12%-20%
The vet said the number is better then she expected it to go to.

So glad to hear her number went up. I would really like to hear about how the Epogen works. I have some in my fridge and hoping I don't have to use it, but I hope it works for Coco :hug:
Have been thinking about you and Coco all week!

Thanks Everyone,
The vet is going to do the shots starting thurs.
The vet said it may not even help but it is worth a try.
I hope you never have to use it.

Other than the swollen paw, how does she seem to be doing? Is she eating better, less lethargic? Poor girl...wonder if the paw has something to do with the IV site? for continued improvement.

for Coco. I'm impressed with the improvement in her hematocrit after the transfusion! I REALLY hope her paw is doing better and the Epogen works!!!!!!
