Hi everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations for an enzyme cleaner safe to use on wood floors. My dog had a few accidents, and I want to ensure the odors are completely removed without damaging the finish on the hardwood.

I've heard enzyme-based products work well for pet stains and odors,

but I’m unsure which ones are safe and effective for wood surfaces.

Has anyone had good results with a particular brand?

Any tips for application to avoid harming the floor’s finish?

There are different types of hardwood floor finishes - do you know what type is on your floors? For example, water or oil based polyurethane, wax, oil sealer, shellac, etc.

Where you are in the world will likely affect what products are available to you, here in the UK there are a range of "Simple Solutions" brand pet odour removers from Pets@Home, they do different products for dog and cat urine and there is one specifically for dog urine on wooden or hard flooring

I'm not well versed in hard wood floor cleaners, but just be sure to test a very small area in an inconspicuous spot first. I'm unsure if natures miracle is safe for hard wood but I've used it on vinyl and plank floors with good results.
