I’m not sure if this in the correct place, so please move it if needed.

I have had some pee accidents in my house from male cat. He has been to the vet and is fine and the pee is a result of fighting with his sister. I’ve gone through the reintroduction process and we are good now! But I am hoping to NOT have any more pee accidents. This was pee NOT spray (thank goodness).

I had a prior cat that would pee on my bed, so I had some Nature’s Miracle Urine Destroyer on hand. This seems to be working, BUT….the smell of the cleaner is NOT agreeing with me. It’s too floral or something.

Either way…I’m looking into a different enzymatic cleaner to have on hand when/if these incidents occur again.

I’m looking for:

1. Enzymatic spray cleaner that can be used on fabric and laminate floors.
2. A laundry additive that can be added as an extra precaution.
I would like both products to smell GOOD or be unscented. I’m fine either way.
One to buy in bulk would be awesome too!

If these products happen to be the same thing, then great! I always have vinegar on hand, but want to be prepared with more things if needed.

I know this might be a tall order, but I’m desperate to be prepared in case things go awry.

Thank you!

A 50/50 white vinegar/water solution should work on laminate flooring. Just test it to make sure there is no impact to the color. It doesn't necessarily smell 'good' and is not 'unscented', but any odor from it dissipates with drying. And, baking soda can be added to the wash to help.

For carpeting and non-washable fabrics, I used Vetoquinol's 'The Equalizer'. It sprays on, doesn't take much, and dries pretty fast.

I see no reason to use any of these items unless you actually have to remove urine odor.

It could be the litter box is too small. Mine are storage bins 25+ inches long. My cat is a mini leopard, long and tall. Her litter box is twice her length so she has lots of room. She does not like litter that smells like pine. Also boxes need to be where I spend most time, bedroom and living room. I don't have a problem with smell because the boxes aren't crammed in a small room. I use Resolve spray pet cleaner for my carpet. Works great and I don't have to scrub

For the laundry additive, I dislike strong scents but I have found adding a cup of vinegar into the cycle can really help neutralize odors without leaving a lingering scent. Borax or baking soda is another good additive. Depending on what your washing machine is like, if yours is h/e or has a tray you pour the liquid detergent into, I'd suggest pouring anything powdered directly onto the load of laundry and not run it through the tray.

I have been impressed so far by the products by Nature's Miracle. I've used the cat enzyme spray to clean the plastic in litter boxes, and it really gets rid of the smell. I haven't used it on fabric yet. I do know their dog spray works great on fabric bedding and pretreating laundry, so I'm guessing the cat one would too. They have a whole line of products, but I have only needed the spray so far.

We also prefer storage boxes for litter boxes as maggie101 maggie101 mentioned. Borax and baking soda are good additives for the washing machine. We also avoid any scented products especially litter.
I agree with the scented litter-yuck. The smell from natures miracle lasted a long time so I use resolve spray cleaner
