Badger has pyometra

She has been having some spotting since this weekend but otherwise ok.  Took her in this afternoon as we thought it might be bladder infection.  The vet did a syringe and got some discharge.  Temp is okay.  They were doing blood tests this afternoon to check white blood cell count .  If high they will be have started antibiotics tonite and do the spay tomorrow morning.  Evidently its more involved than a regular spay?  Hoping it will go okay.  Will keep updated.

Yes, it's more involved than a regular spay because the uterus is full of pus and they have to be careful not to spill any while taking it out. So the incision will probably be pretty large. Poor little girl! How old is she?

Gail, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope the surgery goes well. Poor little Badger.
