Project Runway! Who do you think is going to win?

I'm tired.
Been busy and haven't been on here much the past few days.

Can you believe I had $75 in Kohls cash to spend today and I had a hard time spending it? That never happens.
I would love to see Helen win.  I like her personality and think she makes beautiful clothes.  I hope she gets picked to move forward.

I never have a problem spending Kohl's cash.

Anyone get a flu shot yet? My sis works in hospital so was mandatory. Just like last time, she got extremely ill in first 72 hours. Bout killed me the time I had one, too. Just don't think they're all that safe, or benefits outweighs risks.
Our hospital tried to make the flu shot mandatory a few years back, but someone raised the question of civil liberties or something like that.  Anyway, we can refuse to get vaccinated now, but there's a class you have to sit through if you want to decline it.  But as the benefits do outweigh the risks, I dutifully got vaccinated back in August.

Anyway, I just got home from work, and after a quick snuggle with the kitties, I'm off to make dinner.  I hope everyone is having a good evening!!

Oh my gosh Karen how is that possible!?  Every time I go in I spend more than I mean to...  I have only $10 that I hope to get some more dish towels with.

I recently bought some dish towels there not knowing that "bar" ones were smaller than average.  It totally messes up my folding process now.

So glad I have a 5 day weekend after tomorrow because I will babble my butt off!  One of my cats left me a freshly killed mouse on our enclosed porch, and I almost stepped on it. I picked it up and IT WAS STILL WARM, with blood still pouring out of it, but it was definitely dead. I threw it outside for the barn cats and said "thanks, but no thanks.."

Thanks MServant!

Ananya - the horse in your avatar is gorgeous! What's his or her name?
Did you carefully count out 15 words for this post Cassiopea?  Being the absurdly precise person that I am, I just had to count them.  Anne will, you know.  She does stuff like that.  And you did that gobbledygoopy thing too.  I think we'd better keep an eye on you...

I wonder if it counts just to do a whole range of emoticons??

Your cat must love you! The only time we got a dead mouse was years ago, it was also the only time we ever saw one in the house. Actually it was a shrew and the head was in the kitchen and the rest of it was in the laundry room.

Now I just get brought the occasional cat toy at night lol.

My daughter-in-law gave me a sample of "blue" tea. When you mix in some lemon, it turns pink. I think I'll stick to green tea.

I am an awesome babbler. :lol3:

So I thought I was going to have an early night tonight. Got home from work, fed all the kitties, ate dinnermself, and then left to feed the ferals so I could come home and relax. Well I saw the kittens I haveben waiting for one of the ferals to bring around. I quickly set the trap and caught one kitten, and am now sitting in my car, wet (its raining off and on) waiting to see if I can catch another. I would have had them if someone driving by didn't decide to come running over and scare them away. Hopefully I can catch them all soon!

Truthfully, this is the first time I have ever found one on the enclosed porch. Usually they are left on the walk way and I step over them when I go to my car. But this was brought right in and laid at the door of the enclosed porch,

I think it was brought in by one of the outdoor cats that we allow on the porch to eat. While I appreciate it, I think "ok, you killed it...eat it! It will save me money buying you food!".

My son was upset and texted me at work today and wanted to talk when I got home. That's at 10:30pm and he's 11, but he insisted I wake him up. Sounded like it could be a big deal so I got some ice cream on the way home. He was too tired to talk, so now I'm pigging out on ice cream at 11pm with two cats waiting to lick out the container.

Some how the cat toys at night don't have the same effect for me - it just says 'wake up mom, I want to play'!  And as Mouse failed miserably to terminate the living rodent mouse he encountered the other week it looks like I'm in for a long wait on that front.  Fear I'm more likely to get woken up by Mouse patting my face and looking at me pleading me to welcome his new found brown mouse friend who he has carried up on to my bed for me to pet and feed!!!

Why is life so hard? We don't get Project Runway for at least a year after you guys see it!  I want it NOW!

Oh dear, once again we have a mouse in the house. With 5 cats you would think someone could catch it. Looks like I will be setting up mouse traps today.

I'm glad to hear my boy isn't the only useless mouse-hunter on the site.
Mind you, I'm just as useless, I bought a basic mouse trap and couldn't figure out how to set the thing up!  It's still sitting unused on my bedroom cabinet.  I haven't seen the moue for a while though and am hoping the plug in rodent deterrent thing I got is doing the job!

Ill lend you all Sooty although im not sure about mice but hes trying to get at the bird outside because its just moving LOL!!  Hes made me laugh all day, he jumped in the shower with me this morning silly cat!

ive just got through with finally painting some plaster marks on my walls where I was re-wired! looks pretty good and is matching up nicely as it dries! I will do the bedroom ones when the cats go to bed tonight, then I will only have my front wall to paint a deep dark red and my stairs.  So at least im not having to repaint everywhere now! :D

only less than 40 posts? I could've sworn we'd be well into the 100's by today! Get chattering, people!

I am debating on taking a half day today at work. it's dead and I am tired! We'll see.

I did more than take a half day today: I resigned!  I've been working on it since last week when I originally handed in my notice but there were some things my boss was checking out for me.  Nothing came up that made me feel I could stay so I confirmed it this morning.    Am about to start hunting for a new job as will have serious problems paying Mouse's vet bills by the start of next year if I don't have some money coming in....  This is the beginning of something, I don't know what but it's something!  Feel free to babble about job ideas!

Does anyone like to watch Dancing with the Stars this season? I so seldom watch TV, but do try to catch that show whenever possible. Love how they do the hair/makeup/outfits of all female contestants- can truly make ANYONE beautiful while they perform! And I do l like to watch the men spiffed up as well...looks like such fun to be able to dance like that! Anyone ever taken ballroom dancing lessons?
