If you are interested in trying to help the people and wildlife being devastated by the Australian bushfires, here is a list of agencies you can contribute to. If you are in the US, keep in mind that $50 AU is about $38 US.

Or, you can go to this site and read the entire article. Australian Bushfires

NBC News ran a story tonight about how the rescue groups are trying to get to the animals. As they said, Australia has many unique animals than don't live anywhere else in the world, and some of them were already endangered before the bushfires started.

Thanks for posting this. I donated to the World Wildlife Fund Australia because their emphasis is on the koalas. I heard on the news this evening that 1 billion animals have been destroyed by the fires.

Just saw an article about airdropping food to the wild life that have survived so far because their natural habitats have been destroyed and there is no food :frown:

Food donations are likely not accepted but monetary donations to organizations that will provide food to airdrop would be appreciated. There are some links at the end of the article to the organizations.

I saw a video of them airdropping carrots and sweet potatoes in areas that had already burned and they had a part showing a small animal eating a carrot. They survived the fire but now they have nothing to eat. The Koalas eat eucalyptus which is highly flammable.
