Yes me too! Maybe I should rethink. I’ve debated in my mind how to rate.
Just curious, which literary books? When I was younger I thought I had to finish every book I starte no matter what. I think my attitude changed when I attempted War and Peace. I did get about 1/4 into it and the battle scenes were just too much.

I pretty much rate books on how much I liked them.

Well, if you're ambitious, you could give both stars and hearts. Stars for literary value, and hearts for how much you liked it. Using that, I'd give most of the Miss Fortune books one star, but five hearts!

Guess their characters weren't so farfetched afterall.
LOL, come stay with me for a week, and we'll revisit this!

It's April 30th, so the last "official" day to discuss Louisiana Longshot. The thread will remain open, though, so comments can continue, if anyone has something to add.

Thanks to everyone who read and posted your reviews. As always we appreciate your participation.

Hope we'll see you all in May for short story month.

Just wanted to post in case anyone was following this thread and hasn't seen that in July we'll be reading "In Five Years", which was one of the 2 books that tied for 2nd place in the April poll.

Here's the link to the thread: July 2022 Book Of The Month Club - In Five Years

Hope everyone that voted for it will be able to get the book and join us in July. :read:
