I started the book last night. Only read one chapter, so far, but
I didn't realize he was a German spy. .
and
yikes.... what an introduction. Poor love sick, Mrs. Garden. :eek2:

give it a chance💖
Don't worry, I'm carrying on - at the moment I'm trying to think up suitable endings which will make everything OK. I'll write them down so that we can laugh at them later. At the moment, I'm feeling stupidly depressed and Die Nadel is not helping my mood!

I’m not sure I’ll be able to read this book this month. I don’t know if I’ll be able to find the time. So sorry, but hopefully I’ll be able to read the book for May.
Depending on how much time you have to read, and how quickly you read, you may be running out of time for this month. However, keep in mind that you don't have to finish it by the 22nd, you could keep reading and then add your comments once you're done.

Or, you could start the May book early, to ensure you have lots of time to finish it. Especially since it's a long book.

Is it too late to join in? I have an audible credit and it looks like a good read :)

No, not too late to join, mani mani . We won't start openly discussing it till the 22nd, and the discussion will continue till the end of the month, or whenever people stop posting about it.

It's a fairly fast read, as I just started 3 days ago, and am more than a third through already. It might even go faster, if you're listening to it.

So, I say, go for it.
