Here are my apple fritters from Sunday. I doubled the recipe to get 12; as fast as I got them out of the hot oil, Rick was scarfing them down. There are some brown spots and that's because I used my mom's old West Bend electric skillet to fry them. It's very uneven when heating. But they were good. Lots of apple in them. I shook them in a bag of non-melting white sugar (King Arthur). I'm going to keep looking around for a fritter recipe.
