Ive learned a lot here about cat nutrition.  I was wondering if anyone had a trusted, unbiased resource to research dog nutrition?  I could search the web on my own I guess, but I just thought you guys could give me a good start.

Also what do you guys feed your dogs?

Thanks!

I don't know about unbiased, LOL. Pretty much everything is biased in some direction. So, raw feeding? Good kibbles? Anyway, here's a decent selection:

Raw feeding: http://rawfeddogs.org/

Kibble/canned/commercial raw reviews: http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/

Kibble reviews: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/

Because I have 3 big dogs and a bunch of cats to feed, I can't get the really expensive kibbles like EVO or Orijen. So I buy what I think is the best balance of price and quality. I feed a rotation of : Diamond Naturals (beef and chicken flavors), Chicken Soup, Taste of the Wild (3 of the 4 flavors--my dogs don't like lamb), and 4Health (chicken and rice).

The Blue line of dog food has a good compression chart on line you can check out. (saw it on the commercials).

I do like the dogfoodadvisor.com site and that is where I started becoming consious about what I was feeding my dogs.

I also feed Diamond Naturals ALS Chicken Meal and rice and Earthborn Holisitc Primitive Natural.

There is really just way to much to know about feeding our pets and it is a little depressing. I really should just go raw someday.

Thanks so much for the info you guys.  I would love to feed raw, but dont trust myself.  I know it would be best.  Im really just looking to inform myself.  I have been feeding Pro Plan Chicken and rice kibble for years.  I have tried other things but always come back to it because of one dog or the other having problems with switching (I do switch slowly, and still tend to have issues).  Its not a horrible food (real chicken is the first ingredient).  I also, for years, made real chicken and rice and mixed it with their food, but stopped because I now have a female with an extra sesitive stomach, and it seems that anything besides kibble gives her issues. I like the idea of rotating, it does seem natural, as that is what dogs would do in the wild, but does it throw them for a loop with the inconsistancy?  I will be reading up on the subject over the next few days, I really appreciate the input.
