Soo I adopted a kitty and the shelter didn't really have an idea on what she is so I was wondering if anyone has a good idea on what she may or could possibly be

Domestic long haired snowshoe in my non-professional view. She's very cute! Have you picked a name?

Yes! Her name is Katara, the name is referenced from Avatar the last Airbender 🎀

What a beautiful sweet girl ❤ most likely she is a domestic long hair sealpoint with white. However, for look-alikes, you could compare her to Balanese, which is a long-haired Siamese cat, ragdolls, which are often pointed cats and some others. She looks most like Balanese in terms of her face and body to me.

I am wondering if she could also be a tortoiseshell from her face. But there’s nothing really on the body to suggest it. If you look at her paws and you see pink and cream mixed in then she would be a tortie point.

Here are some links.

I would not say snowshoe because I don’t think they are ever long hair. Snowshoe cats came from traditional Siamese cats that had white spotting. They’re very rare now. And they weren’t bred very much because it is hard to control the white spotting patterns. All color point cats have some Siamese heritage somewhere down the line because that’s where the points came from.
