Alternative To Metronidazole (flagyl)

Lilly has been on Metro for over a month and the diarrhea continues. She has IBD/SCL. We've started her on chemo as well and the vet wants to take her off it in about a day. Has anyone else had this issue where the Metro doesn't work? Any alternative suggestions?

Yes. My cats were both prescribed metronidazole for diarrhea. It did not work, and may have had side effects. One vet thought it was strong. What I finally did was changed his diet, and the issue cleared up pretty quickly after I found the right diet. He was rejecting prescription foods and most cat foods. I finally figured out we need to avoid anything with chicken for my cat.
