Winchester, did you like Erin Hunter’s book?
Sounds interesting, I've added it to my wishlist on the library site.My book club just finished reading Richard Wagamese's "Ragged Company". Here's the link to Goodreads. All of us enjoyed it which is rare, and we had a long and lively discussion.
Sounds good.Wow a virtual book club on thecatsite! How cool! Thanks for the info, rubysmama . I'll join whenever I have time
I actually met TEN of them at this year's luncheon, and got to talk with the author of "The Diamond Trilogy" at some length, because we sat at her table for lunch! That's really cool about all the North Carolina authors! Hope you'll get to meet some of them, maybe. Good luck with your book club as well.
You read all those books??? evelyn woods speed reader, ha!! glad you're feeling betterWell...I managed to pick up a virus, and was down for three days, then the modem got sick, and it was two days being replaced! However, I'm back, and way behind!
HMMMMMMM...I read "Leathal Bayou Beauty" and "Swamp Sniper" in the Miss Fortune series, and BOTH of them had me laughing so hard my tummy hurt! I also read "Call of the Cats: What I Learned about LIfe and Love from a Feral Colony" by Andrew Bloomberg, which was just remarkable, loving, and funny, and sad, and utterly honest. I'll be saving this one to read again and again. THEN I read "Trouble in Mudbug," the first of the "Ghost in Law" series (who could resist reading a book about a town called "Mudbug"? Then "Dead in Dublin," which I really enjoyed as well, and am now reading "A Charming Crime." AND I'm reading "The Last Time I Lied" on my computer, so that's about 5 chapters a night, because it's awkward to hold the computer while reading, AND I'm reading "The Diamond Trilogy," which is also awkward, but because it is a script, rather than a novel, so you have to provide all your own cues, vocal tones, facial expressions, background, and since it was written as a play, the action jumps from single place to single place with no segue. But the story is good.

No, not really. I realize that I'm probably in the minority here, but no. I got about three chapters or so in and returned it to the library.Winchester, did you like Erin Hunter’s book?

I started the Warriors series book one a while ago, and couldn't really get into it either. Plus in the back of my mind was something I'd read about the violence in future books, and I think that might have been a factor in my inability to get into it.No, not really. LMAO!!Hmmm... that title sounds familiar. Wonder why.
I just got the e-book from my library, so I'm going to start it either later today or tomorrow.
That is an entire series you've read?
All those issues would ruin the book for me. Particularly spelling errors. There's simply no excuse for those, and yet I see them in books that aren't self-published all the time.My only TINY issue with the book is that it is self-published, and should have been proofread more carefully. There are some spelling issues, and some scrambling of tenses, and such, but it isn't bad enough to ruin the book for me.
no, we just started reading itThat is an entire series you've read?
Have you been reading some "same old-same old" books?we want to see works of art as voluminous as possible, so as not to part with your favorite characters for longer but we want to see practical books as concise as possible, to have instant access to the necessary information do not forget about the more difficult to understand and process the structure of such texts instead, we are offered to flounder in the ocean of filler, pulling rare pearls from the bottom and all because they need to sell this additional volume for an additional fee and even more profitable - to make more clones of the same book under different names
