I wanted to start adding raw food to my dog and cats diet and was looking at where to buy a meat grinder. I have a kitchen aid, and it would be nice to have an attachment.

Where did you buy your meat grinders if you use one? There are a lot of different ones online.

I bought the tasin108 at www.onestopjerkyshop.com it cost $150 and comes with all needed attachments. Lisa PiersonDVM used this for years. I think it is a great grinder, I grind chicken thighs and lots of cornish game hens, works like a dream. Go to th esite, tons of reviews. I think it was a good buy. I make about 15-25 lbs of food a month.

Yes, the Tasin108 is the "standard" for raw pet food. All the drive parts are metal, not plastic. Plastic parts will break if you try grinding bone. I read Pierson is now using a more powerful Westin 12, but I think she's grinding thicker bones like turkey.
