The lady I speak to from cats protection said last night that sometimes the snap type test they do comes back with a false positive and maybe an extended test could be done to double confirm the results. I'll ring around vets today to see prices and how long the results take to come back and see what we can do from there.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I have 5 cats total. One has FIV but I talked to my vet and she said it was ok. Basically I lock her in her own space when I'm not home or we're sleeping. Otherwise I let her loose around the house. I have 2 cats that aren't friendly but I just keep an eye if they're in the same room. Flower, the fiv positive, unfortunately loves to make friends and play. It's a bit of a hassle but she was a stray i was feeding that was getting worse. Can't put her outside or she'll just die. I've had her for over a year now. So far it's going well. I hope it works out for you. 🙌🏼🤗
