I have adopted a 2-3 month old male kitten from shelter.
And I have been trying to give him homemade food. Can you give feedback and suggestion on whether I should continue on with this or stick to Whiskas.
The mix I give him Contains:-
A Packet of Whiskas kitten Chicken gravy or Tuna Jelly.
Around 100g of Chicken Breast Slightly cooked after 3 days of freezing.
Few chunks of Chicken Giblets. ( For vitamins and other thing it has)
1 Cooked egg without seasoning and oil.

This is enough for 1 day and next day breakfast.
And Dry food is always available in separate bowl
Please give me feedback.

Welcome to the forum.

The bad part is "Whiskas." it is one of the worst brands for cat food. Look for Tiki Cat and Weruva products so your cat will eat enough of the right nutrients and drink more water

I have read about it being bad. That is why I have added all the other ingredients. Since I have already brought a stock of it. I will finish it and then change it. Please give me any feedback regarding the other ingredients and any suggestions.

There is a forum here on TCS on home cooked diets:

I would say no, it is not a balanced diet. And it's not really homemade as you're just adding chicken and organs and egg to a commercial cat food. You can cause nutritional imbalance by add extra unsupplemented meats and other things to commercial cat food.

TCS has a forum on home cooked diets: Raw & Home-Cooked Cat Food Take a read of the stickies at the top of the forum to understand more about home cooked diets and to see recipes.
