A Strange Coat?

Greetings! I'm a newbie here, and I figured I'd start things off by asking a quick question. I don't know a whole lot about cat genetics and I'm rather curious about my boy. Ever since I got him as a shelter kitten, he's had these little white hairs all over his body. I'm curious as to what would cause him to have them, as I normally only see them in older cats. I've attached a few pictures of both his over and undercoat.

Pretty sure that's normal in black cats.
Ours has a few scattered here and there along her back, only. Barely can see them unless you're up close to her.
Someone else who knows the genetic reason will be answer it more deeply

Thanks for replying! I figured it wasn't anything special, but I'm curious just the same. Since I got him from a shelter, I don't really know anything about his parentage, so I figured I'd turn here to find someone more knowledgeable than I

I have two black cats and they both have random white hairs too.
