This is quirky rather than troubling, but it's really been bemusing me. Sinbad has started using my hands as washcloths.
He'll grab my wrist in his back paws, nice and tightly hooked so he can hold my hand firmly in place. His front paws go to the back of my hands so he can manipulate the angle of my fingers. Then he thoroughly licks the front of my fingers until they are wet with kitty drool, and rubs his face hard against them a few times. This licking and rubbing is repeated until he is satisfied that his face and head (the areas he can't reach with his tongue and would otherwise rub his paws against) are nice and clean, at which point he releases me and resumes normal grooming.
Has anyone ever seen a cat do this before? I've never heard of anything like it. It's really funny.
