A beautiful feral showed up tonight

Gosh, this is a purty one and here I just had to put to sleep Black Paws. This new guy/girl is dark grey and white striped with a white tipped tail and half white and half grey face. Where on God's green earth do they all come from? Anyone ever seen this? It is hanging on my front wall in the living room next to pics of all the cats that have graced my doorway--- It really, does say it all

Stray Cat

Oh, what unhappy twist of fate
Has brought you homeless to my gate?
The gate where once another stood
To beg for shelter, warmth and food
For from that day I ceased to be
The master of my destiny.

While he, with purr and velvet paw
Became within my house the law.
He scratched the furniture and shed
And claimed the middle of my bed.

He ruled in arrogance and pride
And broke my heart the day he died.
So if you really think, oh Cat,
I'd willingly relive all that
Because you come forlorn and thin
Well....don't just stand there...

Mike swears my domestics must put signs up directing all the homeless kitties to our door! I have looked for those signs, but I don't see them!

I love that poem and plan on printing it out and posting it on my front door. Over the years I have had 18 strays come to me, to find homes for. (A small amount compared to the work some of you are doing)I too, have thought that my kitties are putting up signs! - but then they don't go outside, so.........God's divine intervention?
