8 week old black tabby or solid black?

Jiji is 8 weeks old. She's got what looks like stripes but I can't tell if it's just kitten colors or the sign of markings to come.

Mine looked exactly like yours as a baby. It turned into black beauty .I think they call that a ghost marking. Every black cat (adult) has markings that can be seen in sunlight.

I am so excited for her to grow up! I am hoping for mostly or all black. It's impossible to photograph but she has a line of white hairs on the leading edge of both ears and I am so curious to see if that stays or not.

Wont let me edit but in the last picture you can see a few of the white hairs on her ears. Is there any way to tell at this age if we should expect short or medium hair. She doesn't have massive toe hairs so I'm thinking she won't be long haired.

She's pretty <3 She looks like short hair to me, she doesn't seem to have long ear fur or long fur in the toe beans.

Looks like kitten markings, usually tabbies are quite obvious, especially in the face. Sometimes hair length is hard to tell but she looks pretty certainly shorthair to me.

What a cutie I would guess they are tabby ghost markings but time will tell, she looks like a dsh to me, black cats
