7 month old cat almost sucks on blanket

I was reading about this and it seems like it's because he might have been taken from his mom at a young age. He almost sucks on a blanket while moving his paws. It looks like how he would potentially nurse. Anything i should do in particular to help? His first vet apt is Dec 5.

Let him be as this will slowly stop , and is perfectly normal and natural. It is a comfort to him.

It's a very common behavior with cats. He'll be fine, whether or not he actually nurses his blankie. "Making biscuits" without nursing is extremely popular among cats. It's another regression to kittenhood. Most of the cat's I've had have done that, while a couple have also nursed the blanket.

The nursing does seem to cease after time, but cats usually continue the kneading to at least some degree.
